Do you love brownies? Do you love pie? If your answer was DUH, then you are in for a treat! I found this recipe from the Magnolia cook book, and everyone knows that Joanna Gaines can do no wrong. This recipe was easy, and so so tasty. Happy baking!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
8 tablespoons of salted butter
2 oz unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 cup of sugar
3 large eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup (6oz) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup of coarsely chopped pecans
1 unbaked pie crust (or a store bought 9-inch deep-dish pie crust
Powdered sugar for garnish
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
Heat your butter and unsweetened chocolate in a small saucepan on low until it is melted and smooth.
Remove the pan from heat, whisk in the sugar until smooth. Pour into a medium sized bowl and set it aside to cool for 10 minutes.
Whisk in the eggs one at a time. Whisk in the flour, the vanilla, and the salt.
Fold in the chocolate chips and the pecans. Pour into your pie crust.
Bake until just set and a crust forms on top (50 minutes worked for me)
Cool to room temperature. Just before serving sprinkle with powdered sugar.
ENJOY! XX Kristen
