I officially have a new favorite drinking spot friends. Located on East Colfax down the block from Bluebird Theater, Middleman has everything you could ever want in a bar. Hanging plants, velvet green couches and large windows make the space feel open but cozy at the same time.
I started off my cocktail journey with the “Space Wine” a sake and prosecco cocktail with a lemon absinthe rinse. Refreshing and bright, this drink was a winner. Next on the boozy lineup was the “Day Man” a play on a paloma that was pink, pretty and not too sweet. Last but certainly not least was the “Dopo” a sophisticated cocktail of bitters and vermouth packed with flavor and punch.
My cocktail journey left me with quite the appetite and I was intrigued by the New Mexican style dishes. I went for the Posole, a warm bowl of flavorful pork soup that literally felt like a hug for my tummy. Chips and queso along with even more chips and fresh salsa hit the spot. I went to Middleman for the cocktails but left beyond satisfied with everything.
On top of the tasty cocktails and food, Middleman has made an effort to bring the community amazing events. From “Board Games & Bring Your Own Vinyl” Mondays to regular DJ sets, Middleman has something for everyone. 2019 will bring even more exciting events including vintage pop-up shops and potentially some exciting classes. Are you a night owl? Hit Middleman’s late night happy hour from 9:00PM-Close on Monday-Thursday for awesome deals.
